Hua Hin Gym Studio 51: Small gym vibes that work

Hua Hin Gym Studio 51, Hua Hin Thailand, My Gym Review

The first time we trained at this gym, it was called Endorphin Fitness Club. When we returned to Hua Hin this year, it had been renamed Hua Hin Gym Studio 51.

The name and signage above the building might have changed, but inside, everything was exactly as we remembered. Same equipment, same layout and, thankfully, the same positive training experience.

Of the six gyms we’ve trained at in Hua Hin, Studio 51 ended up being my favourite. Which, considering the 200 THB day pass, genuinely surprised me.

First Impressions

Hua Hin Gym Studio 51 is a modern, clean gym located right in the centre of Hua Hin.

The moment we walked in, the space felt welcoming, bright, organised and clearly well maintained. The staff were friendly and approachable, making it inviting for both visitors and local residents.

While it’s not a huge gym, the main 16 m × 16 m room is laid out efficiently, offering plenty of equipment without feeling overcrowded.

The gym has strong cooling throughout, with multiple air-conditioning units and wall-mounted fans helping take the edge off the Hua Hin heat.

The 200 THB day pass is slightly higher than my usual preference, but with air conditioning, quality equipment and a clean, comfortable training environment, it felt reasonable.

The Space and Facilities

Studio 51 makes excellent use of its available space.

The main training area is organised, with machines and free weights positioned to allow enough room to move around comfortably.

There’s also a smaller side room with additional metabolic conditioning equipment, giving you more options for functional training and circuit-style workouts.

Showers and changing rooms are available, along with lockers to store your belongings.

There’s also a drinks fridge and protein shakes available if you need something before or after your workout.

Everything was clean, organised and well maintained during both our visits.

Strength Training, Cardio and Equipment

For a relatively compact gym, Studio 51 has an impressive selection of modern strength and cardio equipment. The space is well organised, with a good mix of upper and lower-body machines, free weights and functional training equipment.

There’s plenty here for a proper bodybuilding or strength session, including a squat rack, Smith machine, leg press, hack squat and a good selection of chest, back, shoulder and arm machines. Dumbbells go up to 40 kg with consistent weight increments, and there’s a functional cable trainer offering plenty of exercise options.

I was particularly happy to see the single-leg extension and leg curl machines. You know I love unilateral equipment, and both offered smooth, controlled movement. The hip thrust machine was also better than some I’ve used, although the biomechanics still weren’t quite right for me.

Everything we used was clean, modern and well maintained, with smooth resistance and solid mechanics throughout.

For a gym of this size, I was genuinely impressed with the equipment offering.

What It Felt Like to Train Here

It was leg day for me, so I took full advantage of the lower-body machines.

The leg press setup was space-efficient, with no sled weight resistance. The hack squat offered a fluid range of motion, and the unilateral leg curl and extension machines provided smooth, controlled movement.

I left satisfied with a solid workout.

Hubby trained chest and enjoyed the dumbbell range, which goes up to 40 kg with good weight increments, along with the variety of chest machines.

The functional cable trainer provided controlled resistance and even tension for chest and tricep exercises, while the assisted pull-up machine felt sturdy.

He also left happy with his session.

The atmosphere was friendly and relaxed. Members were respectful, staff were welcoming, and the combination of air conditioning and fans made training comfortable.

My Final Thoughts

Of all the gyms we’ve visited in Hua Hin, Studio 51 is still my favourite.

Which honestly surprised me.

When researching gyms for our Hua Hin side quest, I wouldn’t have guessed Studio 51 would come out on top, especially at 200 THB for a day pass.

But it delivered exactly what matters to me: quality equipment, a clean environment and a comfortable space to train.

The name might have changed since our first visit, but the gym itself has remained consistently good.

Would I train here again? Absolutely.

During our visits to Hua Hin, we’ve trained at six local gyms, all very different in their atmosphere, location, pricing, air conditioning and equipment. My reviews are designed to give you an honest picture of what’s available so you can choose the gym that best suits your training style.

Be sure to also check out my Hua Hin Side Quest blog for recommendations on where to stay, eat and explore while you’re here. And if you are looking for a chicken and rice shop to refuel after your workout, there is a great one across the road from this gym. I highly recommended eating here too.

Stay strong, stay travelling, and keep the gains alive.

Train, sweat, repeat.
